José Augusto Pádua (Federal University of Rio de Janeiro)

José Augusto Pádua is a leading environmental historian in Brazil and Latin America. He is Professor of Brazilian Environmental History at the Institute of History, Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. From 2010 to 2015 he was president of the Brazilian Association of Research and Graduate Studies on Environment and Society (ANPPAS). Pádua is also a member of the scientific board of the Museum of Tomorrow in Rio de Janeiro.
