Yale Environmental History events include a regular colloquium where students and faculty present current research. Yale Environmental History also has hosted annual conferences in recent years to explore “New Perspectives in Environmental History.”
Yale faculty teach a range of undergraduate and graduate courses that consider themes related to environmental history. Other departments and institutes around the university also frequently sponsor environmental history-related activities. The university’s libraries host an extraordinary range of relevant archival collections, including Rachel Carson’s personal papers and the records of the Natural Resources Defense Council.
