Join us for an informal discussion about new directions in environmental history with John McNeill, University Professor at Georgetown University. ┬áProfessor McNeill is the author of several books, including Mosquito Empires: Ecology and War in the Greater Caribbean, 1640-1914 (2010) and Something New Under the Sun: An Environmental History of the 20th-Century World (2000). He is a past president of the American Society for Environmental History. ┬áProfessor McNeill will give a paper earlier in the day in the Agrarian Studies Program’s weekly colloquium series.
