Join us for an informal discussion about new directions in environmental history with John McNeill, University Professor at Georgetown University.  Professor McNeill is the author of several books, including Mosquito Empires: Ecology and War in the Greater Caribbean, 1640-1914 (2010) and Something New Under the Sun: An Environmental History of the 20th-Century World (2000). He is a past president of the American Society for Environmental History.  Professor McNeill will give a paper earlier in the day in the Agrarian Studies Program’s weekly colloquium series.
